HAN TRAN, O.D.
Optometrist & Owner
Originally a California native, Dr. Tran received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley, and now happily resides in the Portland metro area. For her, being an optometrist is about building relationships and understanding each person’s individual needs. She is passionate about finding ways to improve the vision and the comfort of her patients. Optometry is a huge part of her life and keeps her feeling interested, rewarded, and challenged each day. When she's not in the office, she enjoys trying different types of food, traveling anywhere new or old, playing with her dog, and most importantly, spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
Dr. Tran obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. She is a therapeutically certified optometrist trained to diagnosis, manage and treat ocular diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, dry eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration and more. Dr. Tran is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and Oregon Optometric Physicians Association (OOPA).
LANA TRINH, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Trinh was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when she was a child. Growing up in adversity, her dream was realized after a lengthy journey when she received her Doctorate of Optometry from Pacific University in May of 2014. As a Portland native who earned her undergraduate degree from Portland State University, she is ecstatic to be joining an exceptional team in maintaining the visual health of those located at the heart of her home and growing lifetime friendships. When she is not thinking about eyes, you can find her by the side of her husband and family enjoying the wonderful outdoors and finding all the new food adventures that Portland has to offer.
JULIA LIEU, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Lieu was born and raised in Portland and is proud to be providing eye care to her hometown community. At PDX EyeCare, Dr. Lieu dedicates time to learning about you and your eyes so she can provide eye care solutions catered to your unique needs and lifestyle. She received her doctorate from Pacific University College of Optometry, where she completed clinical rotations at Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center, Madigan Army Medical Center, and Retina Institute of Hawaii. Outside the office, Dr. Lieu enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, and spending time with her family.
SHAINA CHAN, O.D.
Optometrist
Dr. Chan returned to the Portland area in 2016 to pursue a doctorate in optometry. She graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2020. Her goal in optometric care is to provide for each patient's visual needs on a case-by-case basis. Outside of work, she can be found spoiling her cats, hanging out with friends, or exploring new activities.
